Another good place for a couple rides I think would be to put a Crazy Bus on the north side of Tipsey Teacups and put another ride between Flying Tigers and Ruka Safari.
As of right now, It's just 1 ride, not 2. If they planned on 2, there would be 2 at Lagoon right now....but plans change and we could be surprised come opening day.

There were a couple of survey markers around the east side of Jumping Dragon near the end of last year which were spotted by the Adventure blog. I heard that that area had the oldest trees at the park in it.

Indeed, but this ride won't require the removal of any trees, which is awesome!

I cannot believe I missed your post where you make that comment ... and it's the SECOND comment in the discussion. I had to go back and look. Feeling a little embarrassed.

There was just talk of it...

I was just thinking that there is a lot of ground to cover from rocket area to where Primordial is.

I mean I would love to see something big like a freesbye or something like that to fill the gap! I doubt it will happen though... Also I want to build lagoon their next water park that would make them tons of money, but I doubt that they are interested in a water park portion of the park at this point in time Frown

I only saw a mention of scalawags and an opinion on the condition of the ride, and people kind of ran off with it. I wasn't sure if you had heard or seen something else that would cause you to draw that conclusion.

LAB is more of an "amenity" at Lagoon, rather than something that brings people to the park.

LAB is showing its age and needs a major overhaul or relocation. Scaliwags is in rough shape. I know Lagoon does excellent at keeping their rides up but eventually all mechanical devices are just to the end of their life and it is my opinion that Scaliwags has reached that point.

I dont see the crazy bus being located over by Primordial though. Itll be in kiddy land some where.

Don't worry about it, was just in jest -- no harm done!  Some of these threads kinda take off & it's hard to catch up... easy to miss a post or two here & there.  All good, my friend!

Agreed, but Scalawags is probably already scheduled for an overhaul if it needs one. Perception of speed can also be very subjective. I could swear to you that Roller Coaster runs faster at night....it does not. It will however speed up by about 5 seconds from empty test runs (68 and 67 seconds) until about 2 pm (62 and 63 seconds). On rare days and loaded trains you can see a 60 second train around 4-6pm, but that is again, very rare.

The water park is not an "amenity" Lagoon may be treating it that way, but it's not... There are times we have come to the park and are surprised by the number of cars, how ever when we get in and Cannibal is a walk on ride we are like "WTF there was so many cars... so where are the people" The answer is "The water park" and you only have to walk by and see that it's basically full or full.
Lagoon is really missing out by upgrading the water park to take people in and then on top of that have things that bring in the extra Money. I spent a lot of time researching and getting all of the details to build a flow rider water park like the one that they have at the mall in South Africa.
Even though Durban South Africa has some of the best waves in the world they built this machine to replicate an actual rip curl and that thing brings in tons of $$$.

The sad this is that a water park does not cost that much and its return on investment is high... Hence why Silverwood did so not that long ago.
LAB is 30 years old this year. I needs to be update and if Lagoon can do something to make LAB and the park another day trip they could make so much more money.

I think that the biggest problem is capital now that they are building Primordial. It won't happen until that's completed.

As far as Crazy bus goes... only time will tell where it will go... maybe we will see some activity before Oct 30th or maybe we won't... Julie Freed said in her live thing today that it will be for next year though.
