To celebrate their 25th anniversary GCI debuted its new Hybrid steel track for wood coasters. They debuted it Fun Spot Orlando which is going to ad some test sections of the track to their GCI White Lightning coaster. It will be interesting to see the first coaster with this track system open though I suspect that is a few years down the road. To differentiate it from RMC Ibox track this track is all riveted together instead of being welded. (Photo Courtesy of the National Amusement Park Historical Association)

So it’s basically GCI-Box... wonder if we’ll see just retracks or RMC style conversions. I would love to see GCI GCI a GCI lol.

Basically. We will see if this goes anywhere but RMC isn't old enough yet to have much data on how they track holds up either. I would imagine this track would be used mainly on GCI built coasters but we shall see.

I know they have in the past as Kontiki was the floor model from the tradeshow. I would be dumb for them to not attend. I do know Silverwood does as they post about their attendance on their social media accounts.
